NV: Washoe Winnies

President's Message:

Another year has flown by! This year’s end Holiday Season can often be very hectic for all of us, but I hope that each of you were able to spend some time at Christmas with family and friends to experience some Peace and Joy of the real spirit of Christmas. We all offer a huge “Thank You” to Barbara and Bill Trimmer for hosting the Winnies

Christmas Party again tis year. The food and company was great and we had an excellent turnout (I believe the count was 26), which included our newest member Mary Bumpass and Dave Tiongco’s sister Carmen as our guest.

During our meeting we discussed a couple of opportunities for camping outings next summer with other groups. One of these is with the Sierra High Rollers during June in Winnemucca and the other with the Western Ramblers at Bodega Bay the end of July. See Marv’s minutes for more detail. I support both of these and would like to see us

finalize plans to put these on our schedule. We’ll see you at Famous Dave’s on January 18. Bring your ideas and we will continue our planning for next summer. We’ve completed a very successful 2019 with the Washoe Winnies and I’m looking forward

to continued success in 2020. My wish for everyone is good health and good times throughout the coming year.

Happy New Year,

John Baumgartner

Wagon Master Report:

Happy New Year to all and everyone of you. Hope you all had a great Christmas. The December Washoe Winnies Luncheon was held at the Trimmer's House. We had a great turnout with one guest and twenty-six members. On behalf of all who attended, I want to thank the Trimmer's for giving up their home for the day so the Washoe Winnies could have a nice place to have for our last luncheon of the year.

There were a lot of donations of useable items for the Ronald McDonald House, the homeless shelter and Nevada Food Bank, thanks everyone. Please see the January newsletter flyers for the up and coming luncheons for January, February, March and April. See the up and coming newsletters for the up and coming campouts. We have host opening for campouts in July and August. May June and September have been covered see flyers forth coming. I know this report is short compared to previous months. We had a great year (2019) for campouts and luncheons. We have had turnover in members and we gained some that will happen. See you at the January luncheon at “Famous Dave’s BBQ at 4 925 Kietzke Lane, Rebo, Nevada. RSVP by January 13th to Mike and Tami Kobold, e-mail [email protected] or phone 775-901-3600. E-mail preferred. This will be a new location for the Washoe Winnies.

Until Later
Dan Rittel, Wagon Master
