Get to Know Winnebago President Chris West on a Bike Ride Through Iowa!

Ride along with Team Winnebago during 75 miles of the iconic RAGBRAI bicycle touring event as James Adinaro (@TheFitRV) interviews Winnebago President Chris West. Not only will you learn more about Chris and his love for the outdoors, but you’ll also hear his enthusiasm for the Winnebago brand and passion for growing our vibrant owner community. Plus, you'll get to see some of the excitement that RAGBRAI brings to Iowa - including thousands of cyclists and even more attendees who are happy to cheer on the teams and enjoy the festivities!

In the video, Chris talks about how he became a triathlete, what he has learned about the company's internal culture since taking on the role of president, and the importance of prioritizing consumer needs. He is especially passionate about the Winnebago owner community and working to reconnect with them on a deeper level this year: 

"The community that we have is something I believe is a true differentiator from most other brands in the RV industry. It's something I'm proud of, and that's why it's something that we're not going to give up on. It's something we're going to double down on. We just have to get it right. [It is] the primary reason why we said this year: 'let's go listen.' And that's what we're doing." RAGBRAI, The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, is an annual seven-day bicycle ride that is famous for being the oldest, largest, and longest recreational bicycle touring event in the world. It attracts participants from across the country and even internationally. Having the route go through Forest City this year brought a lot of excitement to Winnebago's hometown. 

Teams loved seeing the classic Winnebago motorhome greeting them when they rolled into town and having the chance to camp at the iconic rally grounds! Some teams even used their Winnebago as a support vehicle to camp in throughout the event to have more comfort and privacy than the tent campers.

As long-time Winnebago Ambassadors and cycling enthusiasts, James and Stef Adinaro were thrilled to learn that RAGBRAI would be routing through Forest City, IA, this year, and they were even more excited to find out Winnebago President Chris West and other members of the team would be participating in the event. They wanted to introduce Chris to the Winnebago Community in an upcoming video, and what better time to plan an interview than during a bike ride through Iowa?
