One thing that seldom seems to be mentioned is that there could be hidden fuses that are not located in the electrical panel, but are in-line in the wiring. Usually these are somewhere close (such as behind) to the equipment that's affected. There could even be fuses tucked in the wiring in the wiring near the battery on the A frame at the front of a trailer.

This is a good overview, but I’m surprised that energy management systems (or surge protectors) at the pedestal aren’t discussed. Those are cheap insurance to avoid frying your coach electronics!

Thanks for tg=his informative video. I use a surge protector when connecting to shore power and the breaker needs to be on for the device to go through its set-up. When the display says "ready" I plug in the power cable per instruction, the power is hot as I plug-in. Just a bit that was not covered here in this helpful video. I'm shopping for spare fuses prior to my next trip!
