Did You Meet New Friends at Winnebago's GNR? Here's How to Keep in Touch!
Plus, a quick recap of the most recent Grand National Rally highlights.

By: GoLife Staff

Last month, Winnebago hosted its annual owners’ event, the Grand National Rally. For 54 years, Winnebago has been welcoming our community home to Forest City, Iowa, for the annual celebration that includes educational seminars, daytime and evening entertainment, and lots of food.

The event brings owners from across North America together and is a great time for owners to connect with one another and Winnebago employees.

Winnebago GNR Highlights

This year, more than a thousand attendees (and nearly another thousand employees, vendors, and partners) descended on Forest City for more than five days of fun and community.

As attendees arrived, event volunteers guided them to their camping spot for the week and helped ensure they were level.

Throughout the event, attendees had a variety of activities to join, including tie dye, bike rides with ambassadors Stef and James Adinaro from The Fit RV, axe throwing, bingo, a classic car show, games like Jenga and pool, and so much more.

All attendees receive a name badge and lanyard upon arrival, and those with a green lanyard are extra-special – those are our first-timers! First-time rally attendees are invited to special sessions just for them that explain the ins and outs of the event as well as tips from long-timers.

One of the best things about the rally is the opportunity to meet and gather with other Winnebago owners. Many of our community groups, including model-specific, special interest, and location-based, choose to park together and participate in group-organized activities as well.

The rally concluded with an exhilarating concert from the Eli Young Band.

Want to Keep in Touch? Join a GoLife Community Group

If you went to GNR without being a member of an owner group and want a simple and fun way to keep in touch, now is a great time to join! If you weren't able to attend GNR this year, joining a group is a great way to gain many RVer friends to meetup with during your travels and at events, including Winnebago's annual rally.

If you’re looking to connect with other Winnebago owners, visit the GoLife Community page on our website and check out the Owner Groups section, which includes lists based on location, models, and special interests

These groups regularly host in-person meetups across the United States and Canada, including the ever-popular row parties at the rally in Forest City. Each year, community groups decorate their parking “rows” according to the year’s theme and share food, drinks, and more.

View our 2023 calendar of events to see if there’s a meetup happening near you. Our 2024 calendar will be posted soon.

Check out these row party decorations from Texas and the long line of attendees waiting to get their treat!

Mark Your Calendars for July 15-18, 2024!

During the event, we shared that we are transitioning the name of our annual event to Camp Winnebago from Grand National Rally while keeping the fan-favorite activities and events as a part of future Camp Winnebago schedules.

We hope to see everyone at Camp Winnebago next year, with pre-rally parking scheduled for July 10-14, and the rally scheduled for July 15-18, with a row party theme of Disco Fever! We can’t wait to see you next year.

We traveled from Tampa to our first rally in 2023. It was great “camping” with several other units either identical or similar to our rv. We made a lot of friends and certainly learned a lot about our rv. Our calendar is marked for next year’s rally-can not wait! Jim and Diane Neyenhouse 23D Navion
