Finding & Spreading Inspiration in the Winnebago Solis
Discover how this Winnebago bridges the gap between purpose and people.

By: Diego Bianco

As a leadership coach, I enjoy helping individuals bring their best to their lives to become a better version of themselves. My goal is to unite people of all cultures and customs. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing people work together and help each other in solidarity and unity. Diegotalks is my personal website outside of work, focusing on leadership adventures as well as fitness empowerment.

Adding a Winnebago Solis to my life has been a great fit in helping me achieve my goals and connect with others while on the road.

How the Solis Offered a Travel Solution

A few years ago, outdoor and sports events became integral to my life. Initially, I had difficulty managing my trips using my pickup truck due to space limitations and a lack of comfort. Fortunately, right after my second trip, I realized I needed something more substantial than a truck or SUV.

This is how Winnebago came into play and completely changed my life while shopping for my camper van. Winnebago has provided me with unparalleled solutions to my outdoor challenges with the Solis 59PX. I have also connected my purpose to others, and it has become a part of my identity.

It took no time for my Winnebago to become a faithful companion. I am sure I am not the only person who talks to or cares for their van as if it were a friend. I named my Solis "Inspire" since it is intended to inspire people to explore the outdoors while participating in physical activities such as hiking or running.

Typically, I attend sports events, followed by visits to state parks and national parks. Whether alone or with a friend, I enjoy some good times. The Winnebago is not only a source of enjoyment for me but also saves me money. Before owning the Solis, I used to spend two to four nights in hotels where accommodation and food were becoming increasingly expensive. Therefore, I am balancing my budget as well as comfort and flexibility.

Top Reasons for Choosing the Winnebago Solis 59PX

The brand and reputation of Winnebago attracted my attention initially. My second preference was the price since I wanted the features of a motorhome in a vehicle the size of a van. Finally, the comfort and flexibility of modifying spaces for multiple trip scenarios convinced me to purchase the Solis 59PX.

The following are my best objective reasons for choosing the Solis:

  • It's about 21 feet long, so it is easy to park and move.
  • Gas mileage.
  • Seats and sleeps four people. (There's a bed at the back and a bed at the top.)
  • Capable of staying off the grid for a few days.
  • It's powered by electricity, solar, generator, and propane.
  • Heating and air conditioning.
  • There's hot and cold water.
  • A full bathroom is available.
  • It has a full kitchen.
  • There's more space to add bikes, canopies, or large equipment with a foldable bed.
  • There's plenty of storage space.
  • You can modify and add accessories like TVs, tables, and microwaves.
  • It's adaptable, so you can add off-road wheels and change the suspension.

My Van and the Pursuit of Happiness

My perspective on owning a camper van resembles my view on relationships. Compromising is the key to success. Considering every trip offers different activities, I only take the necessary items and focus on positive outcomes. The Solis 59PX is an adaptable model that can accommodate large items.

Maximizing the van's benefits is the secret to my happiness as I learn to become more experienced with the outdoors and live a better life. Therefore, I intend to achieve my goals within the limitations of the van. This strategy took me a few weeks to learn, but this approach keeps me happy and moving forward.

New Adventures Await Me on the Road

I plan to take my van to Oregon and Washington on my next trip. I consider these two states to be a must-visit. As this will be a long journey, I have to ensure that my work can be performed remotely for at least two months. To achieve this goal, I am seeking remote employment opportunities. Besides working, I enjoy connecting with nature.

I sometimes find it difficult to drive long distances. It is not about getting tired while driving, as I enjoy driving, but rather about what I can do to have more fun since I travel alone on most of my trips. Before reaching my destination, I always stop here and there to visit places spontaneously and add fun to my driving time.

This travel routine has become an exciting part of all my trips, and it's like searching for rare and old buildings, unique walls, and places. During my travels, I can stop at random places and contemplate old gates, rusty metal structures, murals, unique water tanks, and signage. Then I look for an ideal spot to park my Winnebago for a picture.

Occasionally, I cannot take a good picture due to other cars or people, but I always look for opportunities to take photos of the van. I am enjoying it and creating good memories as much as I can.

This Winnebago has improved my life by allowing me to pursue my adventures. Life is full of adventures and places, no matter where you go. Do not wait until it is too late. Defining your desired adventures will allow you to engage with people and nature on a new level. This may be the change you need to drive new roads in your life. I look forward to crossing paths with you on the road!
