PA: State Club

Pennsylvania State WIT Club Gathering Sunday November 3, 2019

Representatives from the PA State WIT Club and local PA Chapters met at Roxbury Holiness Camp to tour the facilities to see if this location would be suitable to hold the 2020 PA State WIT Rally. Caleb was our tour guide as well as answering many of our questions and concerns. We began our tour in the area known as the Commons. This area is to be where meals are to be served (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and dinner) as well as a potential gathering area for other club functions.

Our next stop was to the camping area. All sites are full hook-up with either 50- or 30-amp service. The nearby Hemlock building could serve as a central gathering area for morning coffee & donuts (on Friday morning), as well as vendors, seminars or crafting. There is a kitchenette available too with a stove, microwave, refrigerator and a sink for use as needed. This building also has a full-service restroom and shower house for our use.

Behind the Hemlock building is a fire pit and an outdoor pavilion. For those arriving on Thursday, the pavilion would be the gathering area for a Potluck Dinner and evening fire. This pavilion could also be used as an area for Beanbag Baseball [Friday & Saturday afternoon]

At the end of our tour Ken McKnight called for a vote and 100% attending agreed to hold our PA State WIT Rally at this location. Motion to accept 1st was Terry Achey, 2nd by George Darden.

Phase two of this meeting was held at the Bonanza Steakhouse in Chambersburg, PA to discuss Chapter duties.
