My son and I went to McLean’s RV in Rockwall to purchase a Connect 32 foot travel trailer. The experience started off great. The salesman Jacob was great for trying to get My Son the best deal possible. So once My Son was approved we were sent to finance. The finance lady named Tammie was great that day. My son of course was approved. He put down his down payment and was told he would be called back in to sign paperwork after they figured out which bank they were gonna finance him through. So a week later my son went to pickup his travel trailer & sign paperwork with Tammie done deal right not so. My son left with the travel trailer. A few days later my son receives a call from Tammie saying that Bank Of America who finance My Son would not finance My Son for the travel trailer because he put too much money down and wanted to refund my son $700 because BOFA would only finance $25,000 or more. I found that to be a little odd so I told My Son to reach back out to Tammie and ask why that was not told to him when he purchased his travel trailer and put $20,000 cash down. The reason I’m revealing all this information is because this is the reason I gave McClain’s Rockwall five stars it wasn’t because of Tammie because I felt she was being a little shady because My Son asked to speak to someone in upper management and she kept saying upper management was out and wouldn’t be back in until Monday. Well, prior to all this happening My Son had taken a trip to McClain‘s RV Rockwall with just him and his fiancé, and on that day, he was approached by one of the owners, Nate McClain and Mr. McClain on that day ask my son what can I do to earn your business? At that moment My Son wasn’t sure. What travel trailer he was gonna purchase or where he was gonna purchase it at. So after getting fed up with Tammie excuses $ her unwillingness to allow my son to speak with upper management. My son remembered that he had met Nate McClain so my wife & I got on the phone got the number to the corporate office where Mr McClain was supposed to be that day and spoke with his secretary & asked his secretary to have Mr McClain reach out to My Son because he had a issue that needed his immediate attention. Or my so would return the travel trailer by the end of the day. Within the hour, my son’s phone rang & it was Nate McClain how can I help you today Sir? My Son explained to him the situation. How he put $20,000 down on a $40,000 travel trailer and after signing the paperwork, he received a phone call from the finance lady named Tammie stating the Bank Of America would not finance him because the finance amount was under $25,000 So she wanted My Son to take basically take a $700 refund off of his down payment and have that applied to the overall loan amount of the travel trailer. Which would add around $580 in interest for the term of the loan & My Son did not think that was fair so Mr. McClain being the standup owner his is said let me do some investigating & I’ll get back with you shortly. After his investigation, Mr McClain contacted My Son & accepted accountability for his finance department & my son should not incur the $580 in interest that would be applied to his overall loan amount & if My Son would be willing to re-sign the paperwork he would send My Son a check for the $580 in interest that would be tacked on to his overall payments. Now this is where the five stars come in I don’t know about y’all, but since Covid, it has been very hard-pressed to get anyone at any business, no matter owner or upper management to give a damn About their customers this man being an owner, not only took the time out of his day to respond to My Son’s request to speak with him, & took swift action. I really respect that so there’s one thing I can say about McClain’s RV Rockwall. Is that the owner Nate McClain is a stand-up Guy thank you sir. You really made difference. I was impressed with your swift action. I believe without your involvement, my son would’ve returned you travel trailer. So we THANK YOU and HIGHLY RECOMMEND McClain’ Rv Because of you 5

****Buyer Beware****please read the comments posted previously. The Rockwall finance department Especially Tammy, Giovanni the GM and their sales team will RIP YOU OFF!!! THEY WILL TELL YOU IN ORDER TO PULL YOUR CREDIT THEY WILL NEED YOU TO PUT $1000 down to show good will to the bank and have you sign a paper*** they then tell you it will take a couple of hours for the bank to get back to them and that they will call you in a couple of hours with your financing options. Then when they call you back two days later and tell you that your interest rate is between 15 to 17.9 percent interest rate and you tell them never mind…..THEY WILL KEEP YOUR $1000 and not return it***+*Do not deal with this team****they will not listen to a word you have to say and will tell you that Texas does not have a cool off period or a 3 day right of recession*****

I'm in San Antonio. Found a unit I liked online at their Rockwall location. Emailed for more info and got a response from Chad Jenkins, BDC Manager giving me the standard info abour the dealership, financing, etc. and included a link to an eBrochure on the rig. Clicked on the link and got a pop-up stating that the unit had been sold. So frustrating to find something you like online and then be told it's already sold! If you have a system that knows it's been sold - i.e. the pop-up message - then that system should be able to delete it from your online inventory. Or the salesperson that sold it should delete.

My husband and I went to McClain’s to specifically see two RVs. Only one was available but the salesman, Ken, showed us a similar floor plan so we could get a sense of the layout. We didn’t feel pressured especially since we stated we weren’t going to purchase without see the other RV (the one which wasn’t available). The general manager did offer to discuss additional discounts if we were interested in the one RV that they did have available.
